If you would like to use any of these resources for commercial use, please get in touch by adding a comment below giving your contact information and a fee will be determined based on circulation etc. Some items I do require you to contact me for a license to be issued if you want to use them in a class that you teach - I normally do not charge for this, but if you're teaching very large numbers or charging your students a lot of money, then a proportionate fee is payable - but for ALL private, individual use, my materials are provided gratis.
Colour Wheels Exercise
In this exercise you can print colour wheels to then paint using warm, cool, earth, dark or neutralised primaries. The latter are not on my colour palette (below) but are reasonably neutral in any case - as someone asked me earlier, if you don't have Indigo, please use Cobalt Blue. I've done versions for UK and USA use. If you want to use this in a painting class or similar, please contact me to ask for me to license it to you - I ordinarily don't charge for this unless you're using it for very large audiences.

The Spin Doctor's Palette
This is my usual 24-colour watercolour palette that I recommend for most experienced painters. I've made a set of painted swatches available as they may help those new to painting to recognise how colours relate to one another.

3 Jar Paint - Inspiration Method
I've posted this on my blog and so far, hundreds of people have read about it after a few art groups picked it up and put it on Facebook. As I know some people using it are struggling with ideas complete, I've made some worksheets to start people off.

ReplyDeleteJust found your videos yesterday and want to say Thanks! Your videos have been the most informative and understanding of the newbie that I've seen yet. And I have watched A LOT of videos trying to get a handle on this watercolor thing. You ROCK!
ReplyDeleteCan you please review the Jane Davenport Glitz Sea Palette next? I need the pigment information and lightfast ratings, and cannot find them ANYWHERE. It’s driving me nuts that I cannot find the info! Thanks for posting about the other two sets.
